"A portrait of our children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Bill:  Caught in the act! You are a hair puller and a skin scruncher. Frankie and I tease by calling you vicious. Your little hands never rest even when we are cuddled up quietly and I'm feeding you. (your fingers wave furiously looking for a handful of my hair)
Frankie: Went shopping for your dads birthday present. Hopeless mission we came home empty handed except for a 50cent western gun

Smith: All sleepy eyed and dribbly. Dinosaurs (any) are the flavour of this week..
Wilf: Cheeky hooded avenger.

bill's ROOM TOUR

 Come on in...

Sunny
Long before names were agreed upon, colours were decided;
Yellows, orange, washed out pink, lineny grey, a touch of green.
A birdy popcorn fabric door-hang made from repurposed fabrics adds a little charm.
Sweet trinket love hearts a taste of whats to come.

Pom-Poms
Can't get enough. They feature randomly throughout our house (these ones are made by my amazing mum)
A cluster of images for Bill to dream at, hung behind my feeding chair. Mary and her little lamb a framed greeting card, vintage cockatoo tapestry a lucky find from Tyabb, and a watercolour on canvas I did based on the little grey donkey.

Handy at midnight
Hanging wicker pendant lamp perfect for sleepy feeds and stories.
Sanded block of spotted gum works as a side table,
lambs wool for warmth and a mozi throw cushion injects colour.
The silk chair was from my granny Robinas drawing room.

my little bunny lover

She's a cruiser
Plenty of time kicking is spent in her vintage net bouncer, colourful crochet blanket found in a Tassie junk shop & soft patchwork ball all the way from Bali.

Roaming toys
Cute little cane basket hosts a colourful assortment of baby friendly chewable bits, ready on the go. Sits on top a designer's guild woollen stripe blanket.

Drawers that bulge
Kaleidoscope colours in hand knitted winter woolies
lovingly created by family, friends & the local op shop grannies.

Lucky little girl
Prints, trims, pin tucks & over the top ruffles
A carefully selected collection of vintage, hand-made & hand me down dresses. With a background in fashion I just cannot help myself. Slowly building a wardrobe to envy.

Goodnight my sweetheart...
heart you canvas in grey/yellows, vintage framed 'big eyed girl' a gift from her aunt Bianca, neon necklace threaded by her sister at kinder, vintage spice rack holding bedtime stories, ikea cot, hand made bumper & bunnies peeking out everywhere?

thanks for visiting

"A portrait of our children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Frankie: Scary, sometimes you act like a teenager, but luckily most of the time your just my loveable little four year old.
BillBill: Little Koala... skin out in the autumn sun.

Wilf: Building cities, creating worlds, your imagination is inspiring
Smith: Lost in another land.. that sweet little mouth so much to say already.

Frank n Bill

with too many photos to choose from this week
here is a little extra...

Frank: Autumn sun shining, early morning, we explore the coast. My adventurer is always in the wars. Grandparents are pretty special.

Bill: You sat up this week, found your voice, laughed cheekily and mastered blowing raspberries.

Rocking Turquoise

and fashionable at four

leather ankle boots

On our recent trip to Bali
Frankie and I ventured to a boot maker in 30'c + heat dripping sweat and both got some customised made to measure shoes.

A little extravagant sounding especially for a 4 year old i know,
but for $40 and one of a kind, how could we possibly resist?

Frankie chose turquoise in the softest most buttery leather.
She surprised me being decisive and determined on her selection.
I was skeptical, a little bright I thought? but she insisted!

Now everywhere she goes, people stop and admire.
Just look how ridiculously cute they are...

"A portrait of our children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Wilf: Your 'Tiger' face-paint came in the mail this week and you smeared it straight on.  I love your face..
Smith: Colour me happy. I never seem to dress you in just one colour.

Frankie: It's so hard to capture 'you' in a photo but there is something special in your eyes here.
Billie: You and Frankie dressed as brides for your half birthday.  I'm not sure you were that into it, but graciously you played along

flowers for the mini ones

Here at BP we truly are lovers of flowers.. how could one possibly not be anyhow??
I make sure my two little fellas get a fair dose of floral in their rooms, i simply don't believe in flowers for females only!
Have you ever popped a posy in your mini ones room?  We'd love to hear..

today it's 'strawberry kisses' for Smith
